COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka must not be used as a scapegoat for the trade war between the US and China, opposition parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka has said.
"Where are the nationalist forces that emerged in the country?" the Samagi Jana Balawegaya parliamentarian questioned.
"Are they protesting against this?"
He warned that Sri Lanka would face negative consequences if it is caught in the midst of the war between the US and China.
"...does this government have the backbone to clearly say that they are following a non-aligned policy?" Ranawaka questioned stating his party does not wish to side with any of these blocs.
He insisted that the government must maintain a non-aligned policy at all times.
