'Welewatte Sampath' arrested by STF for heroin possession

Colombo (News 1st); A member of an organized criminal syndicate identified as 'Welewatte Sampath' was arrested by the Police Special Task Force in Wellampitiya.
The Police Special Task Force said 'Welewatte Sampath' is a close associate of 'Kudu Roshan', a notorious criminal who is currently serving time in remand custody.
5.6 grams of heroin was discovered from the possession of the suspect and the Wellmapitiya Police is conducting further investigations.
