Presidential Task Force headed by Sec. Defence appointed to manage Archaeological sites

COLOMBO (News 1st): President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed an 11 member Presidential Task Force led by Defence Secretary, for Archaeological Heritage Management in the Eastern Province. Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Retired Major General Kamal Gunaratne has been appointed as the Chairman of the Task Force. The 11 members include, Archaeological Chakravarthi - Ven. Ellawala Medhananda thero and Chief Prelate for the North and Eastern provinces - Ven. Panamure Thilakawansha Thero. The Extraordinary Gazette notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday (June 2).
