Saman Rathnapriya to become a national list MP

Colombo (News 1st) - The United National Party on Wednesday (Jan 23) announced that they would nominate civil society activist Saman Rathnapriya to fill the national list seat left vacant by the resignation of  Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne. Rathnapiriya's name is to be officially communicated to the National Elections Commission today. The nomination of Saman Rathnapriya was confirmed to News 1st by UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.
