Speeding Cab Crash Claims Two Lives on A9 Road

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two individuals were killed in an accident that occurred last night in the Welmorana area of Mihintale on the A9 road.

According to the police, the accident happened when a cab veered off the road and crashed into a ditch.

One person died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries upon admission to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

The deceased were identified as two men aged 37 and 27, residents of Mihintale and Galkulama, respectively.

The police suspect that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
