COLOMBO (News 1st): Special transport services will commence today to facilitate the return of people who went to their hometowns for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
Deputy General Manager (Operations) of the Sri Lanka Transport Board, T. H. R. T. Chandrasiri, stated that additional buses are scheduled to operate from today until the 21st of April, based on passenger demand.
Accordingly, these transport services will operate primarily from Colombo, Maharagama, and Kadawatha.
Meanwhile, the Department of Railways has also introduced special train services from today to facilitate the return of people who went to their hometowns for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
These train services will operate from Galle, Kandy, Anuradhapura, and Kankesanthurai.
