COLOMBO (News 1st) - 13th South Asian Games held in Kathmandu, Nepal concluded today (December 10).
Sri Lanka was able to stand with major countries in the region with 40 Gold Medals, 82 Silver Medals and 128 Bronze Medals with total medals of 250.
The 13th South Asian Games which ran for 10 days in the capital city of Kathmandu, Nepal, comprised of 26 games and 2,700 athletes participated in the events.
India won the highest honours, leading the medals tally with 172 Gold Medals. Hosting Nepal ended up in 2nd place with 51 Gold Medals.
Sri Lanka was placed 3rd with 40 Gold Medals and a total medal count of 250.
