Ven. Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero in presidential race

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Leader of the Janasetha Peramuna, Venerable Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero placed bonds for the presidential election. After placing bonds at the Election Commission at Rajagiriya today, Venerable Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero expressed the following views to the media. The thero expects to get at least 60% of total vote base at the election. The Thero added that none of the other parties would be able to acquire even 50% of the vote base. The Thero went on to note that it was Maha Sanga who stood guard and developed the country, and it was the Maha Sanga who protected the country during the war. Thero added that with all they have carried out governing the country would not be a hard task.
