Extreme heat in North and East during the day

COLOMBO (News 1st): In a weather advisory, the Department of Meteorology states that the temperature felt on the human body is expected to increase up to ‘Extreme Caution’ level at certain places in the North-central and Eastern Provinces and in Mannar, Vavuniya and Mullaitivu Districts. People are requested to remain indoors and drink a sufficient intake of water to minimize the effect of the extreme heat.
