Student turnout still at low

Colombo (News 1st): The second term for all grades at public schools commenced today (May 13), however, student turnout was at a low. Following the April 21st attacks, the re-opening of schools for the second term was suspended on a number of occasions. However, a decision was later taken to re-open schools on Monday 06th May for Grade 06 and above. It should be noted that the student turnout over the past week was at a record low across many schools. A similar situation was witnessed across many schools today as well.
