Social media temporarily blocked again

Colombo (News1st) - Access to a number of social media platforms including Facebook and Youtube have been temporarily blocked. Users also note that messaging apps such as Whatsapp and Viber have also been blocked. This has also been confirmed by Netblocks.org   It is believed that the latest block imposed on social media platforms came after an incident in the Negombo area. Curfew was imposed on Sunday (May 5) night and will be in effect till 7am today.
