Government decides to grant loans for 2 million Samurdhi families

Colombo (News 1st): The Government has decided to grant loans of Rs. 15,000 to 02 million Samurdhi families at a concessionary interest rate. Minister of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment Daya Gamage said Rs 60,000 million has been allocated for this purpose and Rs 30,000 million will be released to those families before the new year. The Minister said the loans are to be given for those interested in venturing into Small and Medium Enterprises.
