COLOMBO (News 1st) - A police raid in Badulla led to the discovery of a pangolin caged with the intention of killing it for meat. They also found 25 hakkapatas explosives, ten kilos game meat and twelve cannabis plants. The raid was carried out based on a tip received from the locals. Police noted that they were unable to apprehend the suspect as he fled the scene. The rescued pangolin rescued will be handed over to the wildlife officials. Police added that the investigations are underway to arrest the suspect.
