President to address UN Environment Assembly in Nairobi

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena has flown to Nairobi. He will attend the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4) as a special guest. The President will participate in this assembly on an invitation extended by the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. The fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly commenced on March 11 and will conclude on March 15 in Nairobi. President Sirisena is scheduled to address the assembly tomorrow (March 14). The President of France, Emmanuel Macron and other dignitaries are to attend the conference.
