Gammadda constructs new building complex for students of Sindathrimatha Primary School

Colombo (News1st) - A new building complex in the Sindathrimatha Primary School in Kalpitiya that was built under the Gammadda 1000 projects initiative was vested with the students today (Oct 15). Students of this school who lacked basic facilities studied under buildings that were sheltered with coconut leaves. The students and parents voice their issues and the lack of facilities to the Gammadda teams that were touring the area. The LANCAN foundation together with the Gammadda 1000 projects intiative commenced the construction activities of the building complex on the 22nd of January. The LANCAN foundation and the Gammadda 1000 projects initiative organized a musical show named "Meeyasitotha" to raise funds for this project. Within a short time span of 9 months, the efforts of everyone involved gave rise to a beautiful building complex, fulfilling the aspirations of the students of the school. A building that comprises of 6 classrooms and a head office, as well as a play ground, was vested with the students today.
