CID provides evidence on Presidential security flaws

Colombo (News1st): The CID today presented facts before the court on the revelations made on the telephone conversations that raised suspicions with regard to the security of the President and the Former Secretary of Defense. The CID informed Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne that an Indian national, who allegedly had connections with Operation Director of the Anti Corruption Movement Namal Kumara, was arrested. The Indian national has been identified as M. Thomas. The CID informed the court that the statement provided by Indian national revealed several suspicious details on possible flaws in the security provided to the President, the former President and the former first family. The CID informed the court that further investigations are underway. The magistrate ordered CID to direct Namal Kumara, who is allegedly involved in these phone conversations, to the Government Analyst to obtain a voice sample for the investigations.
