Colombo (News1st): Once again concern has been expressed with regard to the sliding Sri Lanka rupee against the US dollar. It reached new heights today (Septemeber 14) when it closed at Rs. 164.37 against the greenback.
An analysis of the performance of the exchange rate in recent months shows a steady decline of the rupee.
In January 2015 the exchange rate was approximately Rs. 132 to the dollar.
