Circular on Implementation of Public Safety Committees to Be Issued Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A circular outlining the implementation of Public Safety Committees is scheduled to be issued today as part of the Clean Sri Lanka program.

These committees will be established across all Grama Niladhari divisions and will consist of members from various sectors, including the youth, retired military officers, the police, and a 25 percent female representation.

The initiative aims to address critical issues such as eliminating the drug menace, curbing crime, and tackling illegal activities. 

The committees will operate in 10 key areas.
