COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka's Johann Peries successfully summited Mt. Everest on Tuesday (May 22), becoming the second Sri Lankan to achieve the feat.
Johann carrying the Sri Lankan flag had climbed the 29,029 feet high Mt. Everest and reached the summit at 05:55 am Nepal time on Tuesday (May 22).
Speaking exclusively to News1st, Johann said he is very proud to take the Sri Lankan flag to the highest place in the world. In a message to Sri Lankans, Johann said we should all work hard to make our dreams a reality.
