COLOMBO (News 1st): Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has returned to Sri Lanka after concluding her official visit to Bhutan.
The Prime Minister attended the Global Conscious Food Systems Summit 2026, held from August 31 to September 4.
During her visit, she met with Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, further strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
She also held bilateral discussions with Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Minister of Education and Skills Development Yeezang De Thapa.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya also held discussions with senior diplomats representing various sectors, including senior representatives of the United Nations Development Programme and other international stakeholders.
