Commander of the Navy pays courtesy call on Hon. President

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando made his first official call on the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on 8 July 2026.

During this courtesy call, held in keeping with established protocol, the President extended best wishes to Vice Admiral Damian Fernando on his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy and wished him success in the discharge of duties in the new role.

The Commander of the Navy presented a memento to the President, to mark the importance of this occasion.
