Narampanawe Ananda Thero Appointed Chancellor of Kelaniya University

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Most Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero, Anunayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Shyamopali Maha Nikaya, has been appointed as the new Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.

The appointment was made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and will take effect from today.

The official letter of appointment was presented to Most Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero by Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake during a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon.
