President Appoints Commission to Address Public Sector Salary and Pension Related Concerns

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A commission has been appointed to address issues related to salaries and pensions of employees in the public sector through a special Extraordinary Gazette notification.

The commission consists of 15 members.

The commission has been appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to identify solutions to existing issues related to salaries and pensions of current and former employees in the public sector.

Through the commission, the government aims to enhance the professionalism of the public service, and to provide recommendations on how the public sector should be structurally reformed in line with new technological trends and global developments.
