Teen Missing After Drowning Incident in Talpe

COLOMBO (News 1st): A teenager who was bathing in the seas off Talpe has gone missing after drowning, police said.

The victim is a 17-year-old resident of Mallawapitiya in Kurunegala.

Police stated that he had arrived there while on a family excursion and went into the sea for bathing when he was swept away and went missing.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, three children drowned while bathing in the sea off Hungama Kalamatiya the day before yesterday.

The deceased were aged 12, 17, and 18, police confirmed.
