Police to Take Stern Action on Dangerous and Drunk Driving During Vesak Week

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police say the law will be strictly enforced against motorists who drive dangerously and those who drive under the influence.

Police Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wootler stated that additional police officers will be deployed to every division until the end of Vesak week as part of the intensified enforcement effort.

Accordingly, motorists will be strictly monitored and action will be taken against those who drive recklessly violating traffic rules, and driving under the influence.
