QR System for Fuel Dsitribution Reinstated from Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that the QR system for fuel distribution will be reinstated starting today.

Managing Director of CPC, Mayura Neththikumarage, stated that fuel issuance will also continue under the odd even number system. 

Accordingly, the previous fuel quotas for petrol vehicles will be reactivated.

Due to the festive season, the QR system for fuel distribution for vehicles run by petrol was suspended from midnight on the 11th of April until midnight yesterday, the 18th of April.

The QR system remained in continuous operation for diesel vehicles without any changes during the period.

Accordingly starting today the QR system is active for all types of vehicles.

Meanwhile, a crude oil tanker containing 97,500 metric tonnes arrived in the country recently.
