Suspect Remanded Over Pettah Central Bus Stand Property Damage

COLOMBO (News 1st); A person who damaged property at the renovated and reopened Pettah Central Bus Stand has been remanded until the 17th.

The suspect was remanded after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court. He was arrested on the 8th of April following a complaint lodged by the welfare unit of the bus stand regarding the damage caused to the property.

The suspect is a 33-year-old resident of Kelaniya. An assessment report regarding the extent of the damage is expected to be called from the Sri Lanka Air Force.
