Coal Issues Not Added To Tariffs : PUCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st);The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has unanimously decided that additional costs incurred due to coal-related issues will not be charged to electricity consumers during tariff revisions.

The Commission emphasized that when reviewing electricity tariff proposals, they only consider the reasonable costs associated with power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Furthermore, the Commission stated that even in the previous tariff revision decision, they did not approve any additional expenses resulting from coal-related conditions or any other costs deemed "unreasonable."
