US Destroyed Iranian Warship in Indian Ocean, Says Hegseth; No Ship Identified

COLOMBO (News 1st); US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has claimed that the United States sank an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean.
Hegseth said the Iranian vessel “thought it was safe in international waters,” but was instead “sunk by a torpedo.”
He did not identify the ship that was allegedly attacked, nor provide further details on the incident.
