Sri Lanka, Portugal Discuss Tourism and Energy Cooperation

COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya met with Paulo Rangel, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of Portugal, at the Prime Minister’s Office on 24 February 2026.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism, renewable energy, climate action and education.

Both sides also explored opportunities for collaboration in research, innovation and technology development.
