Three Students Injured as Wall Collapses Near Borella School

COLOMBO (News 1st); One of the students injured in the wall‑collapse incident near Kannangara Vidyalaya in Borella has been admitted to the Emergency Treatment Unit of the National Hospital in Colombo, police said.

According to police, the other two students injured in the accident are currently receiving treatment in general wards.

The incident occurred when a boundary wall on a property belonging to the Borella Municipal Council collapsed after being struck by a backhoe machine operating within the premises.

Police confirmed that the driver of the backhoe has been taken into custody in connection with the accident.

Investigations are ongoing.
