COLOMBO (News 1st); Two Sri Lankan nationals wanted in connection with multiple serious crimes have been brought back to the island after being arrested in India.
According to police, the suspects are Gunaselan Prakash, a resident of Udupiddy in Jaffna, and Gunasekar Deva Sudan, from the Manipay area.
Both individuals were transported to Sri Lanka and are now in the custody of the Central Crimes Investigations Bureau (CCIB).
A CCIB officer said that questioning has already begun under a detention order issued against the two suspects.
Police stated that the pair are believed to have facilitated several shootings in Kotehena and Jaffna in recent times.
They are also suspected of providing support to the criminal activities carried out by Palani Remushan, a member of an organized crime group.
Further investigations are underway.
