JVP's Tilvin Silva Meets Indian EAM S. Jaishankar

COLOMBO (News 1st); Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), who is currently on a visit to India, met with India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar today.

Minister Jaishankar stated that discussions were held with JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva on further strengthening deep bonds between the countries and that they also spoke about growth opportunities and social welfare initiatives.

The Indian External Affairs Minister also noted that India has always remained a genuine and reliable partner to Sri Lanka.

Attorney-at-Law Janaka Adhikari, General Secretary of the Inter-Company Employees’ Union; Members of Parliament Karunanandan Elankumaran and Kittnan Selvaraj; Hemathilaka Gamage from the JVP Media Unit; and Attorney-at-Law Kalpana Madhubhashini, a member of the party’s International Committee, accompanied Tilvin Silva for the meeting.
