COLOMBO (News1st): Trade Unions from the Ceylon Electricity Board warned that trade union actions will be carried out from the 1st of February, citing concerns over unresolved issues in the sector.
Accoridingly, Trade Unions stated that these concerns include, unresolved issues in the HR Policies, confusion among employees and the public.
The Ministry of Energy said that it is expected to implement the restructuring process of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) within the next 30 days.
Deputy Minister M. M. I. Arkam stated that the necessary groundwork for the process is now in its final stages.
Further the Deputy Minister said that a special task force has been established to promptly carry out the restructuring process.
