Two Arrested in Maradana with Foreign-Made Revolver and Live Ammunition

COLOMBO (News1st): Two suspects have been arrested in Pattiyawatta, Maradana with a foreign-made revolver. 

The arrests were made following a tip-off received by the Colombo South Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau. 

Police seized 2.5g of "Ice" or Crystal Methamphetamine that was in their possession at the time of the arrest.

One suspect, A 30-year-old resident of Colombo 10 was apprehended initially. 

While he was being interrogated, it was revealed that the suspect handed over a stock of live ammunition to another individual.

Acting on this information, police arrested a second suspect, a 32-year-old resident also from Colombo 10.

Accordingly, 75 rounds of 9mm live ammunition, 42 rounds of T-56 live ammunition were taken into custody at the time of the second suspect's arrest. 

Both suspects are currently held in police custody for further investigation.
