882 Arrested in "A Nation United" Operation Across Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st):Another 882 suspects have been arrested under the "A Nation United" operation.

These arrests were made during 879 raids conducted across the island yesterday.

Among the suspects, 9 received detention orders and One suspect has been referred to rehabilitation.

400 grams of heroin were also seized during 269 raids carried out by the Police.

One kilogram and 11 grams of ICE were also seized by the police in 315 raids carried out.

The police said that three kilograms and 247 grams of cannabis and 88,050 cannabis plants were found in 208 raids.

500 grams of cocaine were seized by the police during raids carried out yesterday. 

Police further stated that an investigation into illegal assets has been initiated in relation to one suspect.
