Police Arrest Suspect for Aiding Nawagamuwa Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have arrested a suspect for assisting in a fatal shooting that took place in Nawagamuwa.
Police revealed that based on information received during investigations, the individual was involved in planning and providing support for the shooting in Peragashandiya, Biyagama.
The suspect is a 24-year-old resident of Borella.
The shooting which was carried out on January 01, claimed the life of one individual and injured two others who were inside a house in Nawagamuwa.
Police further revealed that the shooting was reportedly orchestrated by an organized crime figure residing abroad.
