Sri Lanka Welcomes 94,041 Tourists in First 11 Days of the Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): Over the past 11 days, a total of 94,041 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, India has contributed the highest with 11,367 Indian tourists arriving during this period, 

Sri Lanka also recorded 8,425 tourist arrivals from Russia, 6,067 from the United Kingdom, and 5,306 from Germany.

The highest annual tourist arrivals since 2018 were recorded last year.

Tourism earnings last year increased by 1.6 percent compared to 2024.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka has earned USD 3,219.2 million from tourism during 2025.
