Road Rage or Rampage? Motorcyclist Arrested After Attacking Vehicles in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st);  A shocking video circulating on social media showeds a motorcyclist wielding a weapon-like object and damaging multiple vehicles along the busy Kaduwela–Kollupitiya road on the evening of January 12, 2026.

According to police reports, the suspect targeted four vehicles during the incident, causing significant damage before attempting to flee. Officers from the Welikada Police swiftly pursued the motorcyclist and apprehended him shortly after the attack.

The suspect has been identified as a 29-year-old resident of Ragama. He is scheduled to be produced before court today, January 13, 2026.

Authorities confirmed that further investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
