Suspect Arrested Over Kohuwala Shooting That Injured Teen

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly assisted in the shooting of a teenage girl in Kohuwala’s Bodhiya Watta area.

The arrest was made by the Crimes Investigation Division of the Mount Lavinia Police. 

During the operation, officers also seized 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) from the suspect’s possession.

The suspect is a 32-year-old resident of Dehiwala, believed to have supported the gunmen involved in the attack.

The incident occurred on December 30, when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle opened fire outside a house in Bodhiya Watta, injuring a 17-year-old girl.
