President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Seeks New Year Blessings from Maha Nayake Theros

COLOMBO(News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake obtained blessings for the New Year from the Maha Nayake of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya, Most Venerable Karagoda Uyangoda Maithri Murthy Thero.

The President visited the headquarters of the Amarapura Maha Nikaya in Wellawatte, where he met the Maha Nayake Thero, inquired about his well-being and engaged in a brief discussion. 

During the visit, the Maha Nayake Thero chanted Seth Pirith and offered his blessings to the President for the New Year.

President Dissanayake also visited the Vidyawasa Maha Pirivena in Minioluwa, Mirigama, where he called on the Most Venerable Makulawe Wimala Thero, Maha Nayake of the Ramanna Maha Nikaya, and obtained his blessings for the new year.
