One Dead, Two Injured in Korathota Shooting; Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects

COLOMBO (News 1st); One person was killed and two others sustained injuries following a shooting incident in Korathota, Nawagamuwa, in Kaduwela.

According to the Police, a group that arrived on a motorcycle and a three-wheeler opened fire on three individuals who were inside a house last night before fleeing the scene.

While one victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, the two survivors are currently receiving treatment at the Homagama Hospital.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a pistol was used in the attack. The Nawagamuwa Police and the Nugegoda Crimes Investigation Unit are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
