Former Minister Douglas Devananda Arrested by CID

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Minister was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today. 

Devananda was taken into custody after appearing at the CID headquarters to record a statement regarding an ongoing investigation. 

The probe centers on a pistol issued to him by the Army in 2001, which he allegedly handed over to the notorious organized criminal, Makandure Madush.
