T-56 Rifle Found in Abandoned Car In Ragama

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police in Kadawatha uncovered a T-56 assault rifle and two magazines hidden inside an abandoned car in a deserted area of Ragama’s Pahalahwatta locality. 

The discovery was made following a tip-off received by Kadawatha Police.

Investigations revealed that the vehicle had been left at the location by unidentified suspects who fled the scene before officers arrived. 

Further checks confirmed that the car was fitted with fake number plates, suggesting a deliberate attempt to conceal its identity.

Police say efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the suspects involved in the incident.
