Over 1,000 Religious And Archaeological Sites Damaged from Cyclone Ditwah: Restoration Underway

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs stated that 1,054 religious places and archaeological sites across the island have been damaged due to the recent disaster situation.

Deputy Minister Muneer Mulafer noted that 33 of these religious places have sustained total damage.

The Deputy Minister further says that work to restore these sites to their previous state has promptly commenced.
