Associate of Kanjipani Imran Shot Dead in Kotahena

COLOMBO(News 1st) - An associate of organized criminal Mohamed Najeem Mohamed Imran, alias Kanjipani Imran, was shot dead on 16th Lane, Kotahena, last night.

The victim, a 43-year-old resident of Kotahena, was seriously injured when a group of assailants arriving in a car opened fire before fleeing the scene.

He later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Colombo.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
