Police Arrest Accomplice in April 29 Panadura Killing

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting at a party in Hirana Malamulla, Panadura, which claimed one life and injured another on April 29.

The arrest was carried out by officers from the Panadura Range Crime Investigation Bureau. 

According to police, the suspect allegedly provided accommodation and logistical support to the gunmen involved in the attack and assisted them in fleeing the area.

The suspect, a 40-year-old resident of Morawinna, Panadura, is believed to have played a key role in aiding the perpetrators. 

Investigations revealed that the shooting was executed by two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle, using a T-56 assault rifle.
