COLOMBO(News 1st); Rear Admiral Ruwan Kalubowila was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy effective from 28 Aug 25.
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda officially handed over the letter of appointment to Rear Admiral Kalubowila at the Navy Headquarters yesterday and extended best wishes to him in the new role.
In recognition of his distinguished service, Rear Admiral Ruwan Kalubowila has been awarded the Uththama Seva Padakkama (USP) for his unblemished record of service and many other campaign and service medals for the 34 years of dedicated service.
