Detention Order Obtained For Suspect In Dan Priyasad Murder

COLOMBO(News 1st);A detention order has been obtained for the suspect arrested in connection with the murder of political activist Dan Priyasad.

The order was issued after he was produced before the Kegalle Magistrate's Court. 

Police say that the suspect will be detained and questioned until the 25th.

He was arrested in Ranwala, Kegalle by the Kegalle Divisional Crime Investigation Office. 

Investigations have revealed that one of the suspects has been identified as the shooter in the killing.

Dan Priyasad was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at an apartment building in Salamulla, Kolonnawa, on April 22.
