Cabinet Approves Formation of Expert Committee to Establish Public Prosecutor's Office

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Cabinet has granted approval to appoint an expert committee tasked with recommending the establishment of a Public Prosecutor's Office. 

This decision follows a proposal submitted by the Minister of Justice and National Integration.

The primary mandate of the committee is to draft legal provisions necessary for setting up the proposed office.

Supreme Court Judge Yasantha Kodagoda, PC has been appointed as the chairman of the committee.
